Under the auspices of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology and the City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications, the Entrepreneurship Club at the City, in collaboration with Ebda’a Academy for Training and Consulting, inaugurated the activities of the Second Forum Competition titled “Prepare for the Future 2” on Monday, September 25, 2023.

The event was attended by deans and engineering representatives from the Air Defense College, representatives from Borg El Arab Technological University, deans of institutes, colleges, and research centers, representatives from West Alexandria District, officials from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, representatives from the Directorate of Education, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, as well as civil society representatives from Hayat Kerya Foundation, Rotary, and Tanafus Association.

Prof. Dr. Mona Mahmoud Abdel Latif emphasized that the forum aligns with the City’s vision to support and nurture creative and innovative ideas among youth in the field of scientific research, creating a conducive environment for the development of their projects. This initiative reflects the City’s pioneering and supportive societal role and is in accordance with the National Strategy for Science, Technology, and Innovation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Mr. Prof. Dr. Amr Salah Morsy, Executive Director of the Entrepreneurship Club at the City, reviewed the forum’s activities, which included the presentation and evaluation of projects in the fields of programming, robotics, and artificial intelligence. A total of 84 students, divided into 27 participating teams, took part. The projects were judged by faculty members from the City specializing in informatics, alongside academic judges from universities and specialists in the forum’s fields.

It is noteworthy that the first forum was held under the title “Prepare for the Future” on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at the City headquarters in New Borg El Arab.
