The City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications has joined the Egypt Research Network (ERG) initiative, launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in accordance with Egypt's National Policy for Sustainable Innovation. The ERG aims to empower startups in the field of advanced technology through a range of services offered by a network of research centers across Egypt. The Egypt Research Network includes a growing number of scientific research centers throughout the Arab Republic of Egypt, namely: the National Research Centre (NRC), the Electronics Research Institute (ERI), the Central Metallurgical Research and Development Institute (CMRDI), the Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute (EPRI), the National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries (NIOF), the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG), the National Institute for Standards (NIS), the Theodor Bilharz Research Institute (TBRI), the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences (NARSS), the City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications (SRTA-City), and the Desert Research Center (DRC).Professor Dr. Mona Mahmoud Abdel Latif, Director of the City, reviewed the services offered by the Egyptian Research Network through its research centers, which are as follows: free technical, administrative, and legal consultations; cooperation in technology transfer and licensing for commercial use; incubation; free training; use of laboratories at reduced rates; free hosting with office space; registration in the supplier registry for future procurement; and partnership opportunities for providing services to local and international projects.She clarified that eligibility for the initiative is limited to Egyptian startups (members of business incubators/accelerators), startups that have raised investments of at least one million Egyptian pounds, or startups that have obtained a classification certificate from the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) upon issuance.-         Startups that meet one of these criteria can register using the following link:http://www.crci.sci.eg/?p=11859Applicants will be contacted within four weeks of submitting their applications.

Under the patronage of Professor Mona Mahmoud Abdel Latif, Director of the city of Scientific Research and technological Applications, and Professor Dr. Gina El-Feki, Acting President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Professor Dr. Mohamed Rashad Abdel Fattah, Deputy Director of the City for Scientific Affairs and Research, inaugurated the Children's Program, funded by the Academy of Scientific Research, on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the Scientific Scientific Center - New Borg El Arab - Alexandria. The program was co-sponsored by Professor Dr. Amr Salah Morsy, University Coordinator for the Open Science Research City, and Professor Dr. Rana El-Rafiq, Executive Director of the Children's University at the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology. The program is supervised by the deans of the city's research institutes, members of the research staff, and their assistants. The program aims to instill a love of technological sciences in the hearts of new generations through an interactive and innovative environment.

As part of the City's mission to raise scientific awareness and prepare and qualify a new generation of distinguished, creative youth to program community applications and achieve development, Professor Dr. Mona Mahmoud Abdel Latif, Director of the City's Main Events, has finally unveiled its 2025 graduate school programs. These programs are witnessing strong interest from students at various scientific institutions (governmental, private, and civil), and they also focus specifically on scientific research for employment. This was announced by Professor Dr. Mohamed Rashad Abdel Fattah, Deputy Director of the City for Scientific and Research Affairs, along with the deans of the City's research institutes, members of the research staff, and their assistants, on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the City's headquarters in New Borg El Arab City.
