New Scientific Achievement for Researchers at the City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications (SRTA-City) Professor Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Omar Included in the "Highly Cited Researchers" List for 2025

Professor. Mona Mahmoud Abdellatif, Director of the City, announces a prominent and honorable scientific achievement Professor. Ahmed Mohamed Omar, Head of the Polymeric Materials Department at the Advanced Technology and New Materials Research Institute, has been listed as the sole Egyptian researcher in the Highly Cited Researchers (HCR) list for 2025.

 

SRTA-City's Strategic Role and Impact

Professor. Mona Mahmoud Abdellatif emphasized the vital and strategic role of the City in providing comprehensive support to its researchers. This support is aimed at increasing the quality of scientific research and its outputs, which directly reflects on the City's standing in prestigious global rankings.

The City's efforts in supporting researchers have yielded tangible results on the international level, including:

  • Stanford University List: The increasing inclusion of several SRTA-City researchers in the Stanford University list of the top 2% most-influential scientists worldwide.
  • SCImago Ranking: The City achieving an advanced global position in the SCImago Institutions Rankings for research institutions, which reflects an improvement in research performance and innovation indicators.

Through these continuous efforts, the City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications continues to foster a stimulating scientific research environment and confirm its role as one of the key scientific houses of expertise that contributes to serving the community and linking scientific research with industry.

 

The Highly Cited Researchers (HCR) Ranking

She added that this ranking, issued by the prestigious international organization Clarivate, represents global recognition of the scientific and research influence of the City's researchers.

  • The list includes the top 1% of researchers worldwide whose research is distinguished by pioneering work and high quality.
  • The selection relies on a comprehensive analysis of research citation data, focusing on research classified within Q1 (the highest quarter of scientific journals in their discipline) that has received the highest proportion of citations in prestigious international journals.
