Professor Dr. Mohamed Rashad Abdel Fattah, Acting Director of the City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications, inaugurated the "Winter Schools 2026" activities on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the City's headquarters in New Borg El Arab City. The event was attended by deans of research institutes, a select group of research staff and their assistants, and students from Alexandria University in person, as well as online participants from various Egyptian universities across the country, representing practical faculties (Engineering, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine, Science, and Agriculture). This initiative reflects the City's leading role in community service by training Egyptian university students on the latest scientific and laboratory technologies. These schools are part of the City's strategy to support "Egypt Vision 2030," providing students with hands-on training opportunities to work with state-of-the-art equipment and technologies. This ensures the graduation of qualified professionals capable of handling technological advancements in their respective fields and possessing both scientific skills and theoretical knowledge.

The Winter Schools will run for one week and include theoretical lectures and practical applications within the City's various institutes.
