Participation of the City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications in the activities of the Training of Trainers (T.O.T) course at Alexandria University

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Abdel Aziz Qansouh – President of Alexandria University, and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, the activities of the T.O.T (The first batch graduated) preparation of trainers course, approved by the Council, were concluded. The Supreme Council of Universities and the National Center for Training and Leadership Preparation in cooperation with Egyptian universities, organized by the National Center for Training and Leadership Preparation of the Supreme Council of Universities in cooperation with Alexandria University over a period of two weeks in the period from May 2 to May 11, 2024 at the headquarters of the Center for Capacity Development for Faculty Members at the University, under the supervision of Professor Dr. / Abdul Aziz Emara – Director of the Center for Capacity Development for Faculty Members at the University, and Dr. / Ashour Omari, Director of the National Center for Training and Leadership Preparation, in addition to the participation of a distinguished elite of leaders and faculty members in Egyptian universities and some researchers from the city for the Technology and Innovation Transfer and Marketing Office (TICO). And the Entrepreneurship Club (E-Club) in training. Professor Dr. Mona Mahmoud Abdel Latif, City Director, announced that the city’s researchers have successfully passed the course. They are: Professor Dr. Amr Salah Morsy – Executive Director of the Technology Innovation Commercialization Office (TICO) and the Entrepreneurship Club (E-Club), Dr. Ayat Mohamed Al-Maghrabi – Director Innovation and Technology Support Office, Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Salam Al-Azab – Director of the Office of Support for Research Projects, Grants and International Cooperation, and Engineer/ Iman Muhammad Gad – Director of the Office of Technology and Innovation Transfer , as the goal of the course is to obtain accreditation by the Supreme Council of Universities and the National Training Center. Preparing leaders to work as professional trainers to train researchers, graduate students, and graduates, each according to the target group and the nature of the training. She also added that the course works to qualify participants scientifically and skillfully and provide them with the applied experiences necessary to work as professional trainers in their fields of work. The city also seeks development and training to develop the academic and administrative skills of research staff members and their assistants, which achieves the goals of the National Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation 2030, as well as In order to achieve the themes of the national strategy for higher education and scientific research.
