The Minister explained the importance of the role of the City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications in working to support efforts to develop the scientific research system, by improving research performance, innovation outcomes and societal impact, as well as providing training, consultation and technology transfer services to production and service agencies in Egypt, in addition to implementing applied projects to develop Performance in several areas to serve the national economy, as well as continued cooperation with national and international institutions in the field of development, transfer and localization of technology. Dr. Ayman Ashour pointed out the importance of linking the research product to industry, directing scientific research to serve society, and confronting the challenges facing economic growth, stressing the importance of the societal and service role of those centers and institutes, especially in the fields of industry, agriculture, health, technology localization, and other priority areas to serve development goals. Sustainable projects, and their role in supporting industry and transforming research ideas into products with economic returns for society, explaining that applied scientific research is the foundation of industry. Dr. Ayman Ashour stressed the importance of working to increase local industries, and cooperation between centers, institutes and research bodies through regional alliances that were signed between higher education institutions and productive and industrial institutions at the level of the regions of the Republic. With the aim of achieving a development boom in different geographical regions, enhancing scientific and research cooperation between universities, the industrial and business community and productive institutions, and employing the capabilities of academic and scientific institutions. To serve all development needs facing geographical regions, while developing joint programs and projects that contribute to enhancing innovation, technological development, and economic growth.
