Vision

Endeavor to be excellence center in field of polymeric materials in Egypt and Arabian region. Also, to be bridge to transfer knowledge and technology to different society developmental sectors either service or production as required for urge needs which are involved in the institute’s strategic targets.

Mission

To undertake sober scientific research in polymer science and technology domain that have impact on the local society and country, the department will emphasize major issues to accomplish this mission including; saving environment supporting to build technology and innovation, developing research programs and scientific research tools regularly according to comprehensive quality criteria, encouraging the collaboration with other research departments and other local, regional and international scientific research institutions including research centers and universities, and contacting the different developmental society sectors. Moreover, the department is committed to provide significant scientific, training and consultancy services to all of these society sectors to facilitate the transfer and settlement of technology in order to knowledge-based economy renaissance and fulfill the sustainable development that enhance the society progress.
